You keep your own way of working
- Your pay heads, percentages and caps go into a salary structure, so the numbers come out the way your sheet did.
- You can still bring a month worked out in Excel into payroll, while you get used to it.

When Excel is enough
With a handful of staff on fixed salaries, below the PF and ESIC limits, a well-kept sheet may be all you need. Once you have shifts, overtime, PF and ESIC or staff in more than one place, the copying starts to cost more than software.
