Monthly PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF and TDS

Monthly PF ESIC compliance depends on rates that change from a specific date. HR Bingo stores every rate (PF wage ceiling, ESIC limits, PT slabs, LWF, income tax slabs) with the date it took effect, and the Huminivex payroll team maintains them centrally. Payroll for any month uses the rules in force in that month.

PF

Employee 12%; employer EPF and EPS split with EPS on capped wages; EDLI and admin charges. Per employee: on the ceiling, on actual wages, or not covered.

ESIC

Coverage on the wage limit, 0.75% and 3.25% on the month's earned gross, rounded up as ESIC requires.

Professional Tax

State slabs applied on monthly gross, including different rates for women and February where a state has them.

LWF

Labour Welfare Fund deducted in the months the state collects it (June and December in Gujarat).

TDS

Yearly tax projected under the new or old regime, with standard deduction, rebate and cess, spread over the remaining months.

Labour Code wages

Allowances beyond 50% of pay are added back to wages for PF and gratuity, as the Code on Wages requires.

Rates stored with effective dates

When the PF wage ceiling went from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 on 17 September 2026, HR Bingo needed one new row in its statutory table and no software update. Payroll for August 2026 still uses ₹15,000, and from the date of the change it uses ₹25,000. ESIC limits, PT slabs and tax slabs work the same way.

Per-employee choices

  • PF on the ceiling, on actual wages, or not covered (for example excluded employees)
  • ESIC on or off; PT state; LWF on or off
  • Old or new tax regime, with declared deductions for the old regime
  • UAN, PF member ID, ESIC IP number and PAN kept with the employee
