How a request moves
- An employee makes a request on the app or the web, or HR enters it for them.
- It goes to the first step of the flow for that request type, and the approver is notified.
- The approver opens it from Approvals, sees the details, and approves it or rejects it with a comment.
- After the last step the request takes effect: leave comes off the balance, the attendance day is worked out again, or the shift goes on the roster.
- The employee is told the decision on the app, with the reason if it was rejected.
Settings for each flow
- Needs approval: switch it off and requests of that type are approved as soon as they are made.
- Steps, in order: up to five, each a reporting manager, the manager's manager, a role or a named person.
- Move on after (hours): optional. If nobody decides in time, the next step takes over.
Frequently asked questions
Can approvers decide from their phone?
Yes. They get a notification and approve or reject (with a reason) on the HR Bingo app.
What if the approver is on leave?
Set a number of hours on the step. If there is no decision by then, the request moves to the next step. A step with nobody to approve it is skipped.
Can an employee withdraw a leave request?
Yes. Leave and short leave can be cancelled from the app, and the cancellation is kept in the request's history.
Can Huminivex act as our HR approver?
Yes. With managed HR and payroll, Huminivex's HR team acts as the HR step in your approval workflow for leave, corrections and claims.
